Knitted Black Grab Bag

Returning due to popularity in 2025 - Our beautiful cotton hand knitted grab bag in black.

It really is the perfect 'from beach to bar' bag and it is definitely the first thing I throw in the suitcase when packing.

All of my smaller personal belongings go in it which then goes into a bigger beach bag. When it's time for lunch (or to head for a beer), I just grab it and go, leaving all the big non valuable stuff on the beach.

It was designed 7 years ago, based on a plastic bag after I had purchased something in a store. I loved the simple shape and so my close friend Lyndsey, who is a master crocheter and knitter, made me one. It really is the perfect bag and I am rarely seen without one of these bags in Summer, especially on holiday.

They have been handmade in Nepal by a Fair Trade Women's collective, supporting over 2000 women members of its income generating project. The income generated by this project is used in social activities to empower and sustain underprivileged and low income families of Nepal, through free primary education of up to 250 children, an orphanage and vocational skill training on knitting, carpet weaving and carpentry.
