I love a bit of western meets vintage rock look. I'll be wearing this under a waistcoat with cut off denims and western boots. Cactus Jack is both a Mexican Tequila brand and a cocktail made from tequila. The cocktail is a mix of sweet and sour made up of white tequila, blue curaçao, fresh orange juice, pineapple juice and fresh lemon juice. My design is a story I made up of a guy called Jack who got lost in the desert amongst the cacti with only a bottle of tequila to keep him company. See sizing below. Milano Torino is a bitter sweet cocktail, which is like a Negroni but without the gin as it's simply made with Campari and sweet vermouth. It was created at Milan's caffé Camparino in the 1860's and was named after it's original ingredients - Campari from Milan (Milano in Italian), and and sweet vermouth traditionally comes from Turin (Torino in Italian). The added soda water became the Americano and the added gin later on became the Negroni. Just mix, pour over ice and add a slice of orange peel. Deeeelish. Tastes better when sat by a pool. I decided to print it onto this gorgeous oversized slub tee which is both effortless yet elegant. The blend of organic cotton and modal make it a winner for warm weather and it's really really soft. I was in awe of her simple yet stunning outfit for the launch of her appointment as creative director for Diet Coke, and immediately needed to re-create her look. So as my slogans revolve around the world of wine and cocktails, imagine my excitement as I was researching the history of a particular era and a cocktail named Purple Rain appeared! It was of course inspired by Prince (or at least the name was due to the grenadine gradually sinking through the blue curacao which invokes the imagery of rain), but the drink itself is a variation of the Long Island Iced Tea. Along with the blue curacao and grenadine (a nightmare if you spill it when wearing white!) it is then mixed with vodka, cranberry and lemonade. Pour over ice and finish with some fresh lime. The t-shirt itself is a classic easy to wear design and is the same tee I use for FIZZ and Bon Vintage retro. The lilac colour in the print is fresh and the shade purposely chosen to fit in with this seasons top colours. The gold is just fun and flashy. I love the vintage rock look of this t-shirt. It's a really flattering shape with a rolled up sleeve. It sits really well over coated jeans, under a tux or tuck into a skirt and add a sequin bomber. It's the same base tee as the FIZZ so if you're a fan of that then you're on to a winner already. Screaming Eagle 1992 is one of the most expensive bottles of wine ever sold at auction. It was the debut vintage from the now cult Napa Valley winery, and only 175 bottles were ever made. A case of 6 bottles sold at auction for a staggering $500,000 and you can currently snap one up via wine searcher for a bargain of around £15,000! Strangely enough I haven't tried it, but Robert Parker (the Napa loving wine critic) gave it 99/100 points. This is my take on it as I doubt very much I'll ever get to try the real deal.... There is always a story behind any slogan I come up with, I can't just simply put a random slogan on a t-shirt. This is the story of a secret vineyard in Paris, tucked away in the little side streets behind the Sacré Cœur. Le Clos Montmartre was created in 1933 by the city of Paris in order to stop real estate developers building on the land. Each October the grapes are pressed in the basement of the 18e arrondissement's Mairie and around 1000 bottles are then auctioned off with the profits being put towards funding projects in the area. Tim Atkins has tried it twice saying it's somewhere between a decent Beaujolais and a Hautes Cotes de Nuit red, light, fruity and appealing but with no great complexity. This tee however is a beautiful organic cotton and modal slub blend. It's soft and slouchy and looks great with everything. Style with a French tuck into jeans, add a bright red lip then position yourself at an outdoor table, order a glass of red and if you can't get there just pretend you're in a Parisian street café.
