Pure wool chunky knit red scarf
A really easy scarf to wear as you simply just throw it over your head.
The design is by our very own Lyndsey who is a keen knitter and croché-er. She has been knitting these for years and we decided it was time to make a lot of them and allow our customers to purchase these gorgeous pure wool scarves.
After researching, we found a small school in Nepal part of the World Fair Trade Organisation who only work with natural yarns.
Supporting over 2000 women at this Nepalese school, the income generated from these scarves will help empower women and support underprivileged and low income families in Nepal.
So not only will you be kept warm in this beautiful chunky scarf (read below as to why pure wool is best) as well as being super stylish, it is supporting a great cause.

Pure Wool chunky knit red scarf
Chunky knit red wool scarf handmade in Nepal. Made from 100% wool.
Pure wool has so many benefits and here’s why I chose to use it for these scarves.
Firstly it’s completely natural. It’s also biodegradable and renewable as it decomposes in a few years and releases vital nitrogen based nutrients back into the land. It’s breathable and has great thermal insulation, keeping you warm through the cold months. It’s odour resistant, and hypoallergenic – and that’s the short version. It’s just better. I will be wearing mine both outdoors and indoors.
To care for your scarf hand wash only in cold water and dry flat. Re-shape while damp
This scarf has been made by a female collective which is part of the WFTO (world fair trade org)

With the help of Sara, a behind the scenes helper, we found a small collective in Nepal who only work with natural yarns. This scarf has been produced by women at a technical school which is part of the World fair trade organisation. The school supports over 2000 women, and the income generated from these scarves helps empower women and sustain underprivileged and low income families in Nepal.
