Screaming Eagle 1992 is one of the most expensive bottles of wine ever sold at auction. It was the debut vintage from the now cult Napa Valley winery, and only 175 bottles were ever made.
A case of 6 bottles sold at auction for a staggering $500,000 and you can currently snap one up via wine searcher for a bargain of around ÂŁ15,000! Strangely enough I haven’t tried it, but Robert Parker (the Napa loving wine critic) gave it 99/100 points.
This is my take on it as I doubt very much I’ll ever get to try the real deal….

Over the 5 years I lived in France my children and I often hung out at the beach, right where the sea from the Atlantic met the top of the Gironde, where the 2 seas met and split the Medoc from the mainland. Their favourite thing to do was dig for crabs. As well as this, there just happens to be an appellation called Entre deux mers (between 2 seas).
